Our Lecturers
Teaching Learning and Assessment
The key areas covered will be:
• Number
• Algebra
• Ratio/Proportion
• Geometry/Measure
• Probability
• Statistics
To encourage motivation and engagement topics are studied via a mixture
of whole class, group or paired work. Lecturers will integrate traditional
“pencil and paper style” with online resources & techniques, using a variety
of websites and mixing this with class discussion to help learners problem solve
thus leaving behind that common “skip it” approach that often impedes
learning.
Examination:
This is taken in the form of 3 separate 1½hr papers (1
non-calculator, 2 using calculator) at the end of the academic year, usually
through early to mid-June on pre-set, non-adjustable, nationally set
dates.
