Retailer - Level 2 Apprenticeship (Starting between August 2023 and July 2024)

The purpose of the Retailer apprenticeship programme is to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to assist customers when they purchase products or services from a variety of retail establishments including retail shops, outlets, online and mail order retailers. Retailers must be passionate about delivering a quality service that aims to exceed customers’ expectations. Some of the topics you will cover are stock control, customer profiles and purchasing preferences, technology to support the sales transactions, promotions and marketing.

This duration of this apprenticeship is 12-15 months depending on experience and job role. You will have a dedicated Assessor who will work with you and your employer through face to face visits and online reviews. At the end of the programme you will be appointed an independent end point assessor who will assess your retail competency.

Employers will set their own entry requirements for this apprenticeship and will be subject to an application and interview process. You will need to have achieved or undertake English and Maths functional skills at level 2. The minimum requirement before undertaking end point assessment is to have passed level 1 and attempted level 2 in both subjects.
