TERM DATES FOR HIGHER EDUCATION

In the autumn term (Term 1), there are planned Study Skills Days/Weeks – there will not be formal teaching during these times, but students will be set structured work to undertake by their lecturers. Students will also have access to a suite of Study Skills resources and learning activities to undertake during this time. There are also two Independent Study Weeks throughout the academic year – during these weeks there will be no timetabled teaching, but students will be expected to conduct reading and research, and work on their assignments.

Please note that the term dates for Year 3 students on the University of Gloucestershire BSc (Hons) Social Work are slightly different to those listed below, owing to the 100-day placement and requirements to follow Gloucestershire term dates. Full term date information is included in your Course Handbook and can be provided by your course team.

EXAM BOARDS

Examination Boards (also referred to as Assessment Boards or Award Boards) for YCUC validated Pearson, University of Gloucestershire, Open University, and some professional programmes are scheduled for the week commencing 5^th July 2027. Examination Boards for other YCUC validated provision, as well as Reassessment Boards for any programmes that had a July board as required, are scheduled for the week commencing 16^th August 2027. Interim Boards, for programmes which require these, are scheduled for week commencing 8^th March 2027. Please note that dates may change in exceptional circumstances. To confirm which Exam Board series your programme will be taken to, please speak to your Programme Leader.
