Functional Skills Maths courses at Yeovil College primarily aim to develop and enhance your understanding of, and confidence in using, maths skills in relation to work. The skills developed within these lessons will help you gain confidence within your problem-solving ability whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification in mathematics.

Functional Skills Maths (Block Fortnight)
Are you aged 19 and over and need proof of your skills in mathematics? Do you have all the skills, but no paperwork to back you up so that you can get your next job or promotion? This two week (10 days), fast paced, intensive course is designed to get you exam ready for your Level 2 Functional Skills Maths qualification. We'll help you master your techniques in areas that you need support and prepare you for taking your Level 2 exams at the end of the week. Most employers and further education providers will accept a level 2 functional skills qualification in place of your GCSE certificate, but you will need to double check with your chosen employer, college or university.
