Course Overview

Still in development, the aim of this programme is to equip Level 2 apprentices with the foundational administrative knowledge, skills and behaviours required to perform routine business support activities confidently and professionally within a variety of organisational settings. It is available to under 25 year olds only and learners will develop competence in key duties such as communicating effectively with stakeholders across multiple platforms, supporting meetings and events, securely handling and storing information, and using digital systems to collate, input and manage organisational data. The curriculum also aims to build apprentices’ understanding of workplace expectations and professional conduct in line with the occupational standard for the Level 2 Administration Assistant, ensuring they gain the practical capability and confidence needed to contribute effectively to day-to-day administrative operations and progress within the business administration route

What Will I Learn

  • Health, safety and security – including online safety, workplace risks and protecting digital information.

English And Maths

English and Maths will be required either as an entry criterion or to be taken as part of the apprenticeship. This depends on current evidenced grades and is advised on an individual basis.

Our Lecturers

This is an employer-based apprenticeship. Apprentices will be supported by experienced assessors who will support leaners throughout the duration of the qualification. Leaners will access all support that Yeovil College offers as a learner

Teaching Learning and Assessment

Assessment is done with a portfolio of evidence that is collated in the workplace. This is overseen by the assessor and then used as part of the end point assessment.

The end point assessment will be a sequence of assessments with an End point organisation.

Support is given to all apprentices.

Entry Requirements

Employment within an administrative role

Maths and English would be an advantage, but not essential.

This apprenticeship is for 16 – 24-year-old only.

Required Experience

You do not need current work experience within administration, although it would be beneficial.
