Solar PV Installation & Maintenance Level 3 - Apprenticeship Unit
Start Date:
End Date: 31/07/2027
Site: College Main Site
Course Overview
This apprentice unit is perfect for qualified electricians looking to
expand their skills and stay competitive in a rapidly growing industry. This
course equips experienced electricians who meet Electrotechnical Assessment
Specification (EAS) entry requirements with the knowledge and confidence to
install and maintain small-scale solar PV systems. Covering the design,
installation, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems in domestic and
small commercial settings, the course aligns with the latest IET Code of
Practice and relevant regulations, as well as National Occupational Standards.
By completing this qualification, learners will enhance their expertise in solar
PV infrastructure, enabling them to deliver safe, efficient, and compliant
installations while meeting increasing demand for renewable energy solutions. It
also opens the door to further progression, including the City & Guilds
Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations which
we also run here at Yeovil College.
