Aerospace Engineer - Level 6 Apprenticeship (Starting between August 2024 and July 2025)

The degree in Aeronautical Engineering allows students to achieve a full degree level 6 qualification as part of an apprenticeship over 5 years. Taught by industry specialists dedicated to ensuring you acquire the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the sector, the programme offers the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of the various aspects of flight and professional standards. The programme is delivered over a 5 years with 18 months HNC, 18 months HND and 2 years for BEng. Year 1 also incorporates a mandatory level 2 NVQ with a level 4 NVQ undertaken in year 2.

Level 2 Diploma in Aerospace and Aviation Engineering (Foundation Competence) Level 4 Diploma in Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing (Development Competence) Level 6 Bachelor Honours Degree (BEng) stipulated by the employer and accredited by an Engineering Council licenced Professional Engineering Institution

Our lecturers are passionate about engineering. Having all worked as engineers we strive to develop your skills, knowledge and behaviours enabling you to succeed in the world of engineering.

Learners are required to demonstrate all evidence requirements, learning outcomes and assessment criteria through the production of an evidence based portfolio via; assessor observations, job write ups and professional discussions. Evidence will be naturally occurring examples across a range of units selected to allow the learner to demonstrate their competency in completing their regular work based activities.

Individual employers will set the recruitment and selection criteria for their Apprenticeships.
