Yeovil College University Centre Hosts Research Festival
On Thursday 17th June at 1pm, Yeovil College University Centre is hosting its inaugural Research Festival titled ‘Problem Solving in a Changing World’. This is a celebration of the ground-breaking research projects and dissertations the university level students have been curating over the past academic year. This is a free event and can be accessed on any internet enabled digital device, including phone, tablet, computer, or laptop.
The event will consist of a series of presentations delivered by both students and lecturers from the University Centre’s key subject areas, including Engineering and Business. Each student will present their research findings in a format that is accessible to all, with the common goal of learning and inspiring.
There will be the opportunity for attendees to engage with the presenters and ask any questions through a live chat function. The aim of the Research Festival is to offer an insight into the groundbreaking research taking place right here in Yeovil, and to inspire others to get involved in university-level study.
Sian Deasy, Higher Education Manager at Yeovil College University Centre: “The Research Festival provides an exciting platform to bring our different subject areas together, with the common goal of learning and inspiring. The projects you will hear about have the potential to make a tangible impact across a whole range of sectors, and we could not be prouder of what our students have achieved.”
