YEOVIL COLLEGE INTRODUCES VIRTUAL TASTERS TO NEXT INFORMATION EVENING
Yeovil College is hosting its second Information Event of this academic year as a virtual experience and will be combining it with new, never-seen-before taster sessions, enabling students to make positive and informed decisions about their next career steps. The virtual information and taster event will take place on Tuesday 19th January 2021, 4pm to 8pm.
Yeovil College offer a varied range of subjects across every curriculum area relevant to the local industry and business opportunities. This includes A levels, Vocational qualifications, Apprenticeships, University qualifications, Professional and Technical qualifications and the brand-new T Level offer. The college are amongst the first in the country to offer T Levels in the second wave from September 2021.

The event on 19th January will again take place on an interactive virtual platform, where visitors are able to live chat, message and video call in private forums. Sarah Gorman, Senior Marketing Officer, said: “There is no need for fancy technology to join this event. All you will need is a phone, laptop or PC with an internet connection. The virtual experience will enable you to immerse yourself into the world of Yeovil College, with over 400 documents and videos available for you to watch so you can truly understand what all the courses involve.”
The event will also showcase lessons, tasks and activities which current Yeovil College students are currently working through, enabling new student’s to understand typically what they can expect to learn and engage with at Yeovil College. Lecturers and teaching staff will be on hand throughout the night, via the live chat function allowing visitors to engage and ask questions. Careers teachers will also be present throughout the evening.
