YEOVIL COLLEGE HOST FIRST CONSTRUCTION TRADE EXPO

On Wednesday 4th May, Yeovil College will host their first Construction Trade Expo. The event, which runs from 10.30am to 2.30pm, will host local construction businesses and employers who will demonstrate, discuss and share all the latest tools, process and opportunities of working within the ever-growing construction industry.

The Construction Trade Expo is particularly key for current and applying year 11 students, who have selected the construction industry as their career pathway, and it will enable them to engage with potential future employers. The event is the first of its kind for Yeovil College, and as the construction department continues to experience exponential growth, connecting young people with sector–leading construction experts is critical.

Yeovil College is delighted to welcome many local employers, including CITB, Hinkley Point C, BAM, SWH and Telecom.

Scott Austin, Curriculum Area Manager for Construction, said: “We are delighted to link bright, young talent with their future employers. The Construction Skills Expo will help current and future students understand the part they play within the construction industry, whilst demonstrating the latest in cutting-edge technology within our sector. Every student will have the opportunity to spend time at the Expo, which will undoubtably inspire them to push themselves even harder in their final term at college.”
