YEOVIL COLLEGE DECLARES FIRST OPEN HOUSE INFORMATION EVENT OF THE YEAR
Yeovil College has announced their first Open House Information Event of the academic year. The virtual event will take place on Tuesday 6th October and follows a very different format to the usual packed out campus usually seen in October. A bespoke exhibition platform has been created to guide the user through a full and interactive Yeovil College experience, which showcases the curriculum offer, describes the support available and clearly explains post-16 options available to the young people of South Somerset and North and West Dorset.
The Open House will boast presentations highlighting the college’s many unrivalled successes and achievements, this will include a general overview by Principal & CEO, Mark Bolton, plus individual presentations about A Levels, T Levels, Apprenticeships and the Yeovil College University Centre. A key feature of the event are the multiple live chat rooms, where parents and future college students will have the opportunity to ask our specialist tutors their many and varied questions about all aspects of college life.
In the interest of safety to the residents of South Somerset and North and West Dorset, and to ensure that they are being respectful of the COVID guidelines, in the spirit in which they are intended, Yeovil College has made the difficult decision to offer its first event of the academic year as a virtual event only.
Principal & CEO, Mark Bolton, said: “We are a vibrant college community and whilst we are deeply saddened that our physical doors will remain firmly closed, we are excited to showcase all that we are and all that our wonderful college has to offer through innovative and interactive technology. The safety of our staff, students and community must always come first.
During the event, our team of staff will demonstrate why we are different and how you can expect to benefit by becoming part of our college community. It will become evident that we provide our students with the right skills, knowledge and behaviours to support them during their full career journey. Yeovil College is not the end point, in fact I believe that this is where your career opportunities get interesting and very real. Yeovil College is your springboard to bigger and better things, accelerating you to achieve more than you ever thought possible.
Please do find the time to join us, and discover why Yeovil College is a positive, inclusive and motivating place to learn and grow, making it a brilliant starting point for your onward career journey.”
The Yeovil College Open House Information Event promises to be interactive, informative and crucial in the decision making-process for future career options and is available is on Tuesday 6th October from 3pm-8pm. To register your place, visit www.yeovil.ac.uk/events
