Virtual Adult and University Centre Information Event is about to launch
Yeovil College and the Yeovil College University Centre are about to launch their next Virtual Information Event focusing on Adult’s and the Yeovil College University Centre.
The event launching on Wednesday 24th March will feature key videos from Study Programme Managers discussing the courses available, what the courses cover and how learners will be assessed. The event will also focus on the College’s Night School opportunities, from fun hands-on courses like ceramics to painting and drawing through to ‘Introduction to Plumbing’ for all those wanting to learn new skills to help save money on plumbing bills. With the joint collaboration of Yeovil College and the Yeovil College University Centre there are so many courses available and at different levels, there is something for everyone.
Mark Bolton, Principal and CEO of Yeovil College, said: “We want to help and support our community, providing them with opportunities regardless of circumstances and stages of their careers.”
Frances Abbott, a former adult learner at Yeovil College, said: “I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at Yeovil College University Centre. I have just completed my Foundation Degree whilst working full time and raising two small children, it has been challenging and rewarding; the well-structured course, the great online resources and the team of brilliant lecturers and Learning Resource Centre staff have allowed me to make the most of my university experience while reaching my full potential. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience and I can’t wait to return next year to complete my honours degree!”
Yeovil College and the University Centre is full of students just like Frances, and the event features a number of Adult students who talk through what it is like to be a student and the course they are on.
The event will be live and on-demand for an extra month and links to the event site can be found on Yeovil College’s website and social media platforms.
