This week we have celebrated students who have taken their GCSE resits. Many Yeovil College students achieved their English and Maths GCSEs with a grade 4 (formerly grade C) or above, and for some this was the third time they have resat their qualifications. Sebastian Goddard, studying Protective Services at Yeovil College, said: “Third time lucky; I had to pass my English to get into the RAF.” Seb is continuing his studies and is working toward his dream of joining the RAF.

Kieren Lugsden, studying Level 2 Cookery at Yeovil College, said: “Thanks to all and BIG thanks to Yeovil College for a second chance.” Kieren narrowly missed out on his GCSE English pass by one mark at school, so is delighted with his results.

ESTART is launching and will replace our traditional ‘New Students’ Day’
