Higher Horizons Webinar

Tuesday 25th June – 6pm – 7pm

Yeovil College is hosting ‘Higher Horizons’, a virtual webinar dedicated to support parents and guardians of young people, to better understand the educational journey that takes place from Year 8, through Further Education and into Higher Education.

Speakers will include:
– Sian Deasy – Head of Higher Education & Adult Learning
– Alex Clancy – Assistant Principal – Employer Engagement
– Gayle Pogson – Head of Careers, Work Placements and Employability
– Tori Masters – Access and Success Coordinator.

This webinar will provide an independent view on the journey from Year 8 all the way up to Higher Education, showcasing all the opportunities along the way. We will discuss the difference between school, Further Education and Higher Education, as well as cover how to access the two later pathways.

We truly believe that there should be no barriers to our young people’s dreams and goals, so our aim is to signpost parents and guardians to useful resources and provide information that will support you to in turn support your young person with conversations around careers and next steps.

Whether you’re unsure on how to support your young person, or whether your young person has a very clear goal of what they want to achieve, our expert team will be on hand to share tips, answer questions and support you.

This fully online event is free to all participants and is appropriate to all school age parents and guardians.
