Yeovil College Welcomes Local Year 10 & Year 8 Students for Inspiring Future-Focused Experience Days
We are excited to announce the return of our popular Year 10 Experience Days and Year 8 My Futures events, taking place from 30 June to 2 July 2026.
The three-day programme invites students from local schools to step onto campus, explore potential career pathways, and gain a real taste of college life through a series of engaging and hands-on activities.
During the event, visiting students will take part in interactive taster sessions across a wide range of subject areas, giving them the opportunity to discover new interests, build confidence, and begin thinking about their next steps and future careers beyond school. From creative and technical courses to professional career pathways, the sessions are designed to inspire curiosity and open young minds to the possibilities ahead.
To create a welcoming and supportive environment, the campus will be exclusively open to visiting students and their school staff during the event. This allows participants to explore the facilities, meet tutors, ask questions, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of the College.
Students can also enjoy lively lunchtime activities inspired by a Wild West theme, adding an extra element of fun while encouraging them to socialise, relax, and connect with peers from other schools.
Schools taking part, this year, part include: Beaminster School, Sir John Colfox Academy, The Gryphon School, Westfield Academy, The Thomas Hardye School, Preston School, Holyrood Academy, Ansford Academy, King Arthur’s School, Buckler’s Mead Academy, Wadham School, Stanchester Academy, Sexey’s School, and Huish Episcopi.
