Elevate: Looking to the future

Yeovil College has developed a bespoke programme which supports our most talented A Level students to develop a range of skills, qualities and behaviours, which will enable them to exceed in their career and ambitions. This inclusive and aspirational group enables students to maximise their learning experience and progression opportunities, whilst studying for their A Levels at Yeovil College Kingston Sixth Form Centre.

We include a number of stretch and challenge activities to prepare our students for a better future, including:

  • University visits
  • University speakers, including guest speakers from Oxford, Cambridge and Russelll Group universities
  • Mentoring programme
  • UCAS support
  • Employer visits and master classes
  • Mock university interviews
  • Membership to our debating society and elite Sports Academy.

To join our Elevate programme, you will need at least eight GCSEs at grade 7 or above. Students who have achieved lower grades may also be able to join, subject to a formal interview. Elevate will allow you to describe a number of activities and exposures which others will not have the opportunity to experience, and also entitle you to true differentiation in the eyes of a university and future employer.
