Course Overview
The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Computing is a 2-year qualification, equivalent to three A Levels. It is designed to be offered to 16–19 learners who are interested in progressing to further technical training, direct employment in the IT industry, higher education in computing-related disciplines or a higher level apprenticeship. The qualification provides learners with a broad base of knowledge of the computing sector. Assessment is a combination of assignments and exams.
Learners can progress into Higher Education, a higher level apprenticeship of employment.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
There
is a 45 hour industry work placement associated with each year of this
course.

After The Course
Progression
onto HE computing courses, HE apprenticeships or employment at a junior level
within computing or IT.
