Digital Marketer - Level 3 Apprenticeship (Starting between August 2024 and July 2025)
Course Overview
This apprenticeship standard is designed as an 18-month programme and is for apprentices who wish to gain the skills, knowledge and behavioural competences required to work in a digital marketer role.
The apprentice will typically be employed in the roles of: Digital Marketing Assistant, Digital Marketing Executive, Digital Marketing Co-ordinator, Campaign Executive, Social Media Executive, Content Co-ordinator, Email Marketing Assistant, SEO Executive, Analytics Executive, Digital Marketing Technologist.
This qualification is completed on a Day Release Model - with content delivered at Yeovil College in addition to Assessing & Progress Reviews in the workplace. Learners are required to demonstrate all evidence requirements, learning outcomes and assessment criteria through the production of an evidence-based portfolio. Evidence will be naturally occurring examples across a range of units selected to allow the learner to demonstrate their competency in completing their regular work based activities.
A CIM Level 3 Award in Digital Fundamentals professional vendor qualification will be embedded. This is an internationally recognised qualification where learners will have an appreciation of the impact that digital technology has had on marketing activities and its effect on customers. Students will have an understanding of the digital marketing tools available, how those tools can be used and how to develop digital marketing content.
Near the end of the Apprenticeship, the learner will have to pass the End
Point Assessment. An external body will assess the learner on a knowledge,
practical skills and a question-based discussion around the portfolio of
evidence. This will result in a Fail, Pass or Distinction.

After The Course
After you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, you may wish to develop your skills and knowledge further on a Level 4 Apprenticeship.

English And Maths
Level 2 English and maths will need to be achieved, if not already, prior to taking the end point assessment.

Course Expenses
Typical cost is £11,000 for a Levy-paying employer, fully funded for a 16-18 yr old at a small employer or 5% for any other circumstance.
How Will I Be Assessed
You will be assessed against set Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours that have been developed by the industry throughout the programme. Your employer plays a large part in helping and supporting you becoming a competent Digital Marketer. Your final assessment known as End Point Assessment will take place at the end of your apprenticeship. Your Summative Portfolio will include:
Employer Reference - to be completed by the employer at the end of the
apprenticeship.
Synoptic Project - A business-related project set by Pearson
and completed over four working days.
Interview - Up to two hours as the
final part of the EPA before grading
Entry Requirements
Entry requirements: Employed within a job role which covers all areas of the
qualification. Four GCSEs 3-9 including Mathematics &
English.
Required Experience
No previous experience is needed.
