Course Overview
L2 bricklaying is a fulltime programme that is usually studied over one
year. Students studying this qualification will build cavity walls, brick
arches, buttress walls and enhance skills ready for employment.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
With support all learners will complete a minimum of 35 hours of work experience related to the qualification. Past students have worked with building & maintenance companies as part of their work experience and gone onto work part time or become an appre

This qualification will enable learners to have the opportunity to progress into industry as an improver or into a bricklaying apprenticeship
What Will I Learn
You will learn all aspects of Health & Safety linked to the trade, cavity walling, setting out procedures and production of attached and isolated piers.
English And Maths
Learners who do not already hold a Maths and / or English qualification at grade 4 or above will study these subjects as part of their college qualification

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs at grade 3/4 or above, including English and maths
Required Experience
To hold level one in bricklaying or relevant industry experience.
