Course Overview
This course is a great follow on from our Level 1 Construction Skills (Carpentry & Joinery) course and for those with some basic skills who would like to expand their portfolio. You’ll be working with the latest technologies producing architectural products, such as doors, windows, units and staircases. The course includes both practical and theory. These will be delivered in our specific industry standard workshops alongside some set remote learning via our online platforms.

After The Course
This course will provide you with a great introduction to Carpentry and Joinery and support you to increase your potential to apply for Carpentry roles in the local job market. After finishing this course, you could decide to take additional courses, or start an apprenticeship in this sector, and would be welcome to discuss your options with your tutor. What Will I Learn
You will learn all aspects of Health & Safety linked to the trade, bench joinery theory using industry approved practices and all associated machinery used in the industry. You’ll be working with the latest technologies producing architectural products, such as doors, windows, units and staircases.

Teaching Learning and Assessment
You will be taught and assessed through activities in our industry specific practical workshops. Your knowledge will be assessed by a series of exams during the year.
Course Expenses
The cost of this course is £1,286.50. You will also need to provide your own safety footwear.

Additional costs may be covered by our financial assistance bursary which you can apply for once you have had your place confirmed and at that point, you will be provided with the bursary application form.
How Will I Be Assessed
There will be practical assessments and exams over the duration of the course.
Entry Requirements
This course is for those who have already completed our Level One Carpentry and Joinery Course and for those who already have some experience in the industry. You will be invited to meet with one of our team to discuss your previous experience prior to the start of the course.
Required Experience
Some experience and knowledge of carpentry and joinery is required. Please ask to speak with the course tutor if you are unsure of your suitability, or you would be welcome to start with our Level One Carpentry and Joinery Course.
