Course Overview

Our Skills Bootcamp in Digital training programme is part of the Government's Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs. It has been designed to give individuals the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills for themselves and fast-track them to an interview with a local employer. The IT Department at Yeovil College has brought this government supported initiative to the doorsteps of our local community to assist individuals who are aspiring to jump up on a career in IT.

This Skills Bootcamp is intended to help up-skill or re-skill 19+ adults within our community so that they are able to fill the high in-demand IT skills that most employers need to thrive in this current all-digital world. The skills and curriculum content planned for delivery have been specially designed in collaboration with local and regional employers from the IT industry. They have co-designed the programme and packed it up with the most desirable skills-set they are looking to recruit for within their organisations.

The UK digital industry is flourishing with great success from all corners. According to recent research, there are hundreds of thousands of new IT job opportunities emerging every month. The digital industry has remained resilient and continued to recruit new talents with average annual income rocketing to about £53,000 – even in the face recent pandemic disruptions.
