Course Overview

"This apprenticeship standard is designed as a12-18 month programme and is for apprentices who wish to gain the skills, knowledge and behavioural competences required to work in a PR & Communications Assistants The apprentice will typically be employed in the roles of Junior Account Executive, Junior Consultant, Junior Press Officer, Junior Publicist, Public Affairs Assistant, Campaign Assistant, PR Assistant & Communications Assistant. This qualification is completed in the workplace and learners are required to demonstrate all evidence requirements, learning outcomes and assessment criteria through the production of an evidence based portfolio Evidence will be naturally occurring examples across a range of units selected to allow the learner to demonstrate their competency in completing their regular work based activities. Near the end of the Apprenticeship, the Learner will have to pass the End Point Assessment. An external body will assess the learner on a Knowledge, Practical skills and a question based discussion around the portfolio of evidence. This will result in a Fail, Pass or Distinction. "

English And Maths

Level 2 English and maths will need to be achieved, if not already, prior to taking the end point assessment."

Course Expenses

Typical cost is £9,000 for a Levy-paying employer, fully funded for a 16-18 yr old at a small employer or 5% for any other circumstance.

How Will I Be Assessed

"You will be assessed against set Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours that have been developed by the industry throughout the programme. Your employer plays a large part in helping and supporting you becoming a competent Digital Marketer. Your final assessment known as End Point Assessment will take place at the end of your apprenticeship.Summative Portfolio This will include:Knowledge test - a one-hour multiple choice test consisting of both knowledge and scenario-based questions Project report - presentation and questioning related to the work-based project agreed with the employer. Consists of a 2,500-word report, 10-minute presentation and 25 minutes of questioning. To be held at the training provider or employer premises on the assessment day"

Entry Requirements

Apprentices will be required to have or achieve level 2 English and Maths
