Hair Professional (Barbering & Hairdressing Options) - Level 2 Intermediate Apprenticeship (Starting between August 2020 and July 2021)

The Level 2 Diploma in Professional Hairdressing and Level 2 Professional Barbering have been designed by employers for those wishing work wither in a hairdressers or barbers. Both Diplomas will lead to the achievement of the Hairdressing Professional Standard, alongside the relevant functional skills and end-point assessment (EPA) module. This qualification is designed for learners who are over 16 years old and wish to develop skills and knowledge needed to begin to work in a Hairdressers or Barber.
Work Experience & Industry Placements
You will complete these qualifications as an employed apprentice in a real working environment. Learners require to find a work placement in a Hair salon or Barbers to run alongside these courses to include (31?) hours inclusive.
You will gain a Uk and Internationally recognised qualification in Level 2 Diploma for Hairdressing or Barbering Professionals.
After The Course
You can develop your skills furhter and enrol into advanced courses such as Level 3 Diploma in Advance and Creative Hairdressing or Barbering.
What Will I Learn
You will learn to carry out consultations on clients, demonstrating the professionalism, values, behaviourism, communication skills and safe working practice associated with your role and be able to work without supervision to a high level of precision, with exceptional client care skills. The following mandatory units include; Hairdressing Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp Cut Hair using a range of techniques Style and finish hair to create a variety of looks Colour and lighten hair. 1 Optional unit (compulsory) – perming, hair relaxing treatment or hair extension service Barbering Shampoo and condition Cut hair using barbering techniques Style and finish hair Cut facial hair into shape Provide shaving services for men
English And Maths
You need to have gained or be willing to work towards English & maths qualifications at level 2 or equivalent

Teaching Learning and Assessment
You will be required to informally evidence theory knowledge and practical skills competently set by your lecturer in order to be formally assessed.
Scheduled throughout the course to support each learner individually.

Online external end of unit exam. Practical assessments. End-point assessment (EPA).
