How to Apply to Yeovil College

Yeovil College operates a clear application process to help students understand what is required of them and what they will receive from us throughout the application process. This section has a detailed description of the stages you will need to go through when applying to Yeovil College either as a full-time or part-time student, we have also detailed some frequently asked questions, if you are still unsure about your application please contact our Student and Customer Services team via the number in our contact us section.

To start with all students should be considering what subjects interest them, what subjects they enjoy and in which they achieve well. Students will need to consider what style of learning suits them; are you a hands on practical person or a class room academic.

Whilst considering what studies would be appropriate students should visit colleges and have a look round, talk to staff and detail their thoughts about subjects and learning styles. On visits, students can also enquire about travel, finance and support: all helping create a picture of what it would be like to study at that college. If you are enrolling on a part-time course and have indicated that your employer is paying for all, or part of your tuition fees for the duration of the course, you need to complete and return the Sponsor Declaration Form.

During the enrolment process you will sign a Learner Agreement Form, which explains that it is your responsibility to produce any requested evidence, or you will be liable for full payment of any outstanding tuition fees. Any requested evidence must be provided within seven days of your enrolment date. Our Finance department will invoice you direct within 7 days of your enrolment, if a completed Sponsor Declaration form has not been returned.
