This course will give you the skills and experience within the workplace to commence a career as a qualified Electrician. You will study how to make preparations to install electrical wiring systems, wiring enclosures and equipment; install and connect electrical wiring systems using safe and improved methods; inspect, test and commission electrical installation and learn to diagnose and correct faults and problems.
You need at least four GCSEs grades 4 (C) or above, with good grades in English, Maths and Science, and a work placement. Progression from full-time construction-based courses will also be considered. If you have some electrical experience and work with in the industry, this will also be taken into consideration.

Having successfully completed your Advanced Apprenticeship, you will be recognised as a qualified electrician with the opportunity to gain further qualifications such as test and inspection and become an Approved Electrician.
