Title and Level: Psychology AS Level

Introduction
Psychology is the scientific study of behaviour and experience. In other words, it is concerned with what people do and how people think and feel. The course covers theories and research regarding various aspects of behaviour. Also available as a Distance Learning course.

Entry Requirements 
No formal qualifications are required, however GCSE English (min grade C) or equivalent is desirable and a good knowledge of maths is recommended. An interest in the subject and motivation to study independently is essential.

Duration 
Tuesday 18:30 - 20:30 for one academic year.

Careers prospects/Progression
Learners can progress to A2 psychology to complete a full A level.

How will I be assessed 
There are three examination papers covering two topics each. Each exam will last for one hour.

Course content/units 
This is a modular course and learners are expected to sit the first paper in January and the two remaining papers in May.

Course fees: £400.00 (£56.00 if you are in receipt of certain benefits)
Due to new specification a new text book is linked to the course, which is not provided - learners are required to purchase their own book.
