Friends of Yeovil College Bursary Foundation

'Your opportunity to help individuals succeed'

The YCBF was set up in 2004 to support hard working students, who for a variety of reasons without financial support would find it hard to stay at College and complete their studies.  Each year around six bursaries of up to £500 are presented to students to support them through their education.  Bursaries are often used to support the purchase or special equipment, assist with travel costs and other resources such as computers and tool kits for their particular course.

During the year students, colleagues and local members of the community work together through a number of events to raise money for the Bursary Foundation. In addition to these fund raising events, funds are raised through one off and Corporate donations or 'Friends of the Foundation' who are individuals and organisations who make regular donations.

All ‘Friends of the Foundation’ and donors receive invitations to all YCBF events and an annual news letter.
