Title and Level: French Beginners

Introduction
This course equips you with the language necessary to deal with a range of situations you may encounter while travelling in French speaking countries. Listening, speaking, reading and writing skills are developed over a range of topics including; travel, accomodation, food and drink, shopping and services and emergencies.

Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements; this course is for complete beginners of the French language.

Duration
Thursdays 18:30 - 20:30 for one academic year.
6.30pm to 8.30pm 

Career prospects/progression
French Intermediate course.

How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed by a series of 'Practical Exercises' covering all four skills throughout the year. There will also consolidation exercises and reflective activities set as home work, approximately one hour per week. There is no final exam.

Course Contents
The course is structured around pair work, group work role play and question and answer.

Course fees: £226.00 (£38.00 if you are in receipt of certain benefits)
One text book is also required
