Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

Depending on parental income, some students will be entitled to a weekly EMA payment of £10, £20 or £30. They will also be entitled to bonus payments in January and July if they are making satisfactory progress on their course.

Students will confirm with the EMA Officer at the end of each week that they have attended all sessions.
Weekly payments will be withheld if the student does not attend all sessions.
Any student who is proved to have made fraudulent claims will have the payments permanently withheld.
Students have the right of appeal where payment is withheld.
