Flexible Learning Options for Professional Courses 

Yeovil College will be offering flexible learning options for all its professional courses starting from September 2011.  These flexible learning options will allow learners to fit their course around their lives and match course contact time to their level of support required.  Those learners requiring less contact with the tutors may also be able to make savings on the cost of their studies with Yeovil College, through a reduction of travelling and tuition costs. 

As part of the flexible learning delivery there are four options of study as detailed below:

Basic:  Learners will receive course materials, registration/exams and some marking.

Basic Plus: Learners will receive all elements of basic and email contact with a tutor, marking of assignments and participation in centre forums and on line learning environment.

Good:  Learners will receive all elements of Basic Plus and 18 hours of workshops across the year.

Best:  Traditional attendance with full support.

NB.  Not all options are available for all levels of professional courses.

It will also be possible for learners to take single units of all professional course on a single unit cost basis.

All flexible learning options need to be discussed on an individual basis with a relevant member of staff before enrolling to ensure that the most suitable route is taken.
