I’m not able to come to the Information Evenings. Can I come at another time?
Of course! Go to the visit us section for more details.
I’m really nervous about starting college!
You are not on your own! It is an anxious time for students who have spent a long time at secondary school and who are now embarking on new experiences at college. We ensure that your time at College is exciting, productive and rewarding and we have an excellent track record in helping new students settle in quickly.
I can’t decide on a course - who can I ask for help?
There are lots of people who you can ask for help when discussing choices after school. Your Head of House or Careers Teacher will be able to advise you, as well as Connect South West. Don’t forget that you can also contact us.
Would I have to wear an ID Badge at Yeovil College?
Yes. All students and staff must wear photo ID badges at all times while on campus to ensure everyone’s safety. Yeovil College takes security very seriously and has established a close relationship with the local Community Police Officer, who holds frequent beat surgeries for students on site.
What is the social life like?
Although we emphasise the importance of working hard at College, it is not always about studying! Go to College Life to find out more.
Can I bring a car to college?
If you have a car, you are welcome to drive to College, although there are a limited number of parking spaces. Many of our students use public transport to get to us. The College operates a ‘green’ policy and there is ample parking space for bicycles, mopeds etc.
