This Apprenticeship will help you develop the necessary skills within your workplace to effectively carry out printing and production processes in the Print and Graphic Communications industry. You will study a broad range of topics, including health and safety, communications and working relationships, preparing and operating equipment and machinery and developing design responses for a variety of production stages for the print market. At Level 3, you can study Machine Printing – Flexography, Machine Printing – Gravure, Machine Printing – Lithography, Machine Printing – Web Offset, Mechanised Print Finishing and Binding and Newspaper and Periodicals. Carton Manufacture, Digital Print Production - Digital Artwork for Print Pre-Press and Print Administration are available at Level 3.
To begin the Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3), you need GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths. You should also have a work placement relevant to your chosen career route, an interest and enthusiasm for your work and the determination to succeed and progress.
Following this Advanced Apprenticeship, you can continue to work in the sector.
